Alivira introduces Flortekxin 300 mg/ml + 16.5 mg/ml, a combination of florfenicol with flunixin in an injectable solution for cattle in a multilayer vial. With Flortekxin, the Alivira group provides clinical veterinarians with a new tool to effectively treat BRD.
Thanks to the association of florfenicol with an NSAID, Flortekxin offers the benefit of dual action in a single injection. On one hand, florfenicol is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic belonging to category C. On the other hand, flunixin is an NSAID with potent analgesic and antipyretic activity, an important action to counter the clinical manifestations of BRD, which are often accompanied by fever. This combination helps reduce fever and control bacterial replication more effectively compared to using the antibiotic alone. With a single injection, we achieve faster fever control and better animal recovery, allowing the animal to eat and drink in less time.
Flortekxin is presented in practical COEX multilayer vials, a lightweight material that provides great stability and protection to the product, significantly reducing the risk of breakage. It is available in 100 ml and 250 ml vials.
In addition to Spain, the Alivira group is launching Flortekxin in several European markets, including Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, and Ireland. With this new product, Alivira strengthens its range of injectables and expands its portfolio for cattle.
